Kelly Brook signed as `female Bond` for MI6 film `Semper Occultus`, Jason Statham signed as villain
Kelly Brook is to star as an MI6 agent in a new movie - opposite her boyfriend Jason Statham, according to
Sky News.
Former Big Breakfast presenter Kelly, 23, will play high-kicking MI6 agent Daisy Norton-Hall in `Semper Occultus`, her first major film. The film is centered around the lead female character and the operations of MI6. The movie could spur a "female Bond" style franchise.
Thirty-seven-year-old Jason will be her arch enemy, a rogue ex-commando.
Kelly`s role was originally earmarked for ex-Spice Girl Geri Halliwell but she was apparently axed after producers saw her on ITV`s Popstars.
The script has been rejigged to take into account Kelly`s age - and her past career as a lingerie model.
The plot revolves around Kelly trying to stop Jason bumping people off and using their bodyparts to save a dying right-wing dictator.
A source close to the movie said: "Kelly has everything we`re looking for - she`s sexy, has a great English accent and is a very good actress.
"This is a really big role and will establish Kelly quickly as a big screen player.
"Jason is an experienced actor and will make a very convincing villain."
He shot to fame in the gangster movie Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, and more recently the Anglo-French-Chinese production "The Transporter".
Semper Occultus is the motto of MI6. It is latin for "Always Secret".
The rest of the cast are now being signed.
MI6 reported in June that Sir Roger Moore has been rumoured to play "C", the head of MI6 - the real life version of "M" from the Bond films.
Moore has previously played a top MI6 man in the US hit TV series `Alias`.
Directing is thought to be Mike Hurst who previously directed `Baby Juice Express`.
