Brosnan squeezes in action thriller `Mexicali` before Bond 21 filming starts in January 2005

10-Oct-2003 • Actor News

Pierce Brosnan has a little free time before filming begins on Bond 21 in January 2005 and has opted to squeeze in another action thriller before rejoining MI6. Mexicali will place Brosnan under the command of Gladiator, Black Hawk Down and Good Will Hunting editor, Pietro Scalia, who will make the film his directorial debut.

Brosnan stars as a successful businessman who witnesses a murder while enjoying the ocean blue from the comfort of his sailboat off the coast of Baja. After his wife goes missing, the intrepid moneyman sets out to save her and get back across the border before the killers catch up with him.

Work will begin on Mexicali after Brosnan completes work alongside Salma Hayek on Brett Ratner`s After The Sunset.
