Rowan Atkinson will be returning for a third outing of his James Bond spoof 'Johnny English' in cinemas next year. His first titular adventure was released in 2003, and his second after an 8-year break with 'Johnny English Reborn' in 2011.
Principal photography on 'JE3' began today at Pinewood Studios in the UK.
Although 007 scribes Neal Purvis and Robert Wade have been credited on IMDB as writing, MI6 understands they did not write the script for this third outing but are linked to the production due to the credits for the characters they created and developed in the first film.
No casting news, other than Atkinson reprising the title role, has been announced yet.
Filming will take place predominantly at Pinewood and in Nice, France.
'Johnny English 3' will hit UK cinema screens on 12th October 2018.
