Nobody was expecting the title of the 25th James Bond film to be revealed with no warning yesterday, and it caught a lot of movie news and media outlets unawares.
The reveal of 'No Time To Die' may have been carefully planned by EON, MGM, and Universal, for maximum coverage, but what they could not have prepared for is what happened next.
Within a couple of hours, Warner Bros officially confirmed that a fourth installment in the 'Matrix' franchise had been green-lit and that Keanu Reeves and Carrie Ann Mos would be returning.
Not to be outdone, Sony then announced that they were pulling Spider-Man out of the Marvel Comic Universe and dissolving their agreement with Disney over the mouse house's bigger and bigger demands for profit sharing (reportedly, a jump from 5% to 50% of a future film), putting the future of the re-ignited Spider-Man franchise in flux.
James Bond's new title had vanished from social media trends almost as quickly as it had arrived.
