Crowley does the heavy lifting for Bond in Casino Royale
Crowley Maritime Corp. will carry 28 pickup trucks, 25 production trailers, 11 excavators, cranes and other equipment to Nassau next month for filming of the next James Bond movie, "Casino Royale."
The cargo will leave the U.S. by way of Jacksonville or Port Everglades and some will come from Europe - reports
Business Jacksonville.
"We look forward to moving this equipment for this franchise movie and believe it is another example of how Crowley provides a wide range of customers with excellent transportation services," said Joel Klenck, vice president, Caribbean and Bahamas service.
Crowley offers two weekly, fixed-day sailings between Jacksonville and Port Everglades and Nassau. Its container ships to the area carry groceries for supermarkets, department store merchandise, lumber and other building materials for construction projects, refrigerated and frozen cargo, and vehicles including cars, trucks, vans and SUVs.
The movie, starring a new James Bond, Daniel Craig, is scheduled for release Nov. 17.
