Designing 007 exhibition opens in Shanghai, China
An exhibition showcasing the design of the James Bond films opened in Shanghai on Thursday at the Minsheng Art Museum, featuring props, cars, gadgets and girls galore.
Unlike with the latest adventure, Skyfall, which had
scenes censored by the Chinese government, viewers will be able to enjoy the exhibition to its full effect plus some more.
"We certainly didn't edit at all for a Chinese audience," Neil McCannon, lead curator of the show, told the AFP. "We have encountered censorship before in some exhibitions, but not in this exhibition."
In fact, just like with recent films released here, China will be getting its own "special" extended version of the show. The exhibition will be expanded for Chinese audiences to include more material from Skyfall-which features scenes shot in Shanghai-as well as an outfit worn by Michelle Yeoh, who played a Chinese spy in Tomorrow Never Dies.
