Daniel Craig changes agents, avoids Bond signing commissions

14-Dec-2005 • Actor News

Shortly after being named the new James Bond, Daniel Craig has signed with CAA. He had met with the major agencies last week - reports Variety.

Craig, who first tries on the Bond tux in "Casino Royale," stars in the ensemble of the Steven Spielberg-directed "Munich" and is filming Oliver Hirschbiegel-directed drama "The Visiting" opposite Nicole Kidman for Warner Bros. He made a splash in "Layer Cake."

Craig continues to be co-repped in the U.K. by ICM's Sally Long-Innes. He had been repped in the U.S. by WMA but left the agency between the time he was first rumored to be getting the Bond role and when the actual deal was made for several films.

Suspicion was that the timing of his exit was not coincidental, and he did not pay commissions on his rich Bond deal to any Hollywood agency.
